Student written, produced, and performed musical, “Octets”, launches Ohio tour

The Octets Ohio Tour is a production of an original musical entirely produced, performed, and directed by college-aged students. This summer, the student-led company of Octets will be performing eight times on stages in Cincinnati, Oxford, Dayton, Columbus, and Cleveland.

 

In Octets, a bitter feud between longtime rivals sparks a turf war between two collegiate singing groups. A bromance tears apart, a quest for travel becomes hopeless, and a classic Romeo and Juliet love story goes awry. All the while, a singing competition is brewing, and everyone must decide whether they want to win or lose, but the answer isn’t as obvious as you might think.

 

The first stop of The Octets Ohio Tour will feature three performances at Walnut Hills High School. Many of the cast members and production team are alum of the nationally-recognized high school, including the writers of the show, Austin Lamewona and Nick Witzeman.
