CINCINNATI – d.e. Foxx & Associates, Inc. announces the appointment of Gerald A. Sparkman as CEO of the global d.e. Foxx group of companies which is comprised of XLC Services, Versatex, and FX Facility Group (Foxx Construction and Xerve). Sparkman, who joined the company five years ago most recently served as president and chief operating officer for Versatex, a d.e. Foxx affiliated company.

Sparkman succeeds founder David E. Foxx who will assume the role of chairman for the parent company. Delores Hargrove-Young, who is transitioning from president and COO of XLC Services, will serve as vice chair. d.e. Foxx operates a group of three companies and employs over 1,700 employees in 26 countries including the United States, South America, Africa, the Middle East, India and the Far East.

“This progression in leadership sets the stage for sustained value generation,” states Foxx who founded the company in 1983 in construction services. Over the past three decades, the enterprise has expanded into three distinct companies with offerings that include facility and construction management, manufacturing services, warehouse management, and sourcing and supply chain management.

d.e. Foxx & Associates is now one of the region’s largest minority-owned businesses. Its group of companies primarily serves Fortune 1000 clients in North America across various industries. Among other awards and recognitions, the companies have received Supplier of the Year distinctions from major corporations such as Procter & Gamble and Eli Lily.

Sparkman most recently served as president and chief operating officer of Versatex, Managed Services Provider (MSP). As president, he emphasized operational excellence, compliance and cost savings with a focus on exceeding client expectations.

Under his leadership, Versatex established a significant partnership with Procter & Gamble’s North American Purchasing Operations achieving the highest MSP Customer Satisfaction rating and highest cost savings attainment to date for all MSP’s globally.

Prior to leading operations at Versatex, Sparkman held senior operations leadership roles at American Express, Cincinnati Bell and Provident Bank.

As vice chairwoman of the board, Hargrove-Young will facilitate business growth for all d.e. Foxx brands by driving the structure to advance strategic initiatives. Foxx will expand his focus on long-term growth.
