Smitherman appointed vice mayor

Cincinnati City Councilman Christopher Smitherman, at right in above photo, will be the City’s new vice mayor when the newly elected Council takes office in January, following an announcement of appointments made by Mayor John Cranley, center, on December 13.

Current Vice Mayor David Mann, at left, will replace Smitherman at chair of the Budget and Finance.

Both Council members were elected to a second term last November.
