Cincinnati Police Department report
On October 6, at about 2:42 p.m., District One officers responded to investigate a report of a person shot in the 1700 block of Vine Street. Responding officers located a shooting victim who was transported to UC Medical Center. The victim, who died of his injuries shortly after arrival, was identified as Jovan Fleming, 27.
The Cincinnati Police Department Homicide Unit has signed murder charges on Deairus Lackey for the death of Fleming. Lackey is wanted by police. He is 23 years of age, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
