CINCINNATI, Ohio – MUSE is pleased to announce our collaboration with Pones for our fall concert on November 23, 2019 at 4pm at the School for Creative and Performing Arts! Together we will tell the stories of survivors who have been subjected to or continue to be plagued by the world of human trafficking. The visual element of dance will help us to tell the stories of these not-so-hypothetical women who have faced human trafficking in various ways.

At this concert, MUSE will premiere a new work entitled “Have You Forgotten” a poem by Roxanne Buck set to stunning music by Emily Cooley, a Philadelphia-based composer. MUSE will also be using Nina Simone’s “Four Women” song as our overarching theme, in which she tells the stories of four women of different backgrounds and circumstances that somehow get caught up in a system of being misused and abused with no other options for freedom. We are telling the story of these survivors, not victims, who are yet empowered through their stories (whether they came out alive or not), for the element of empowerment lies in the fact that their stories will one day help someone else.

MUSE presents UNCHAINED at the School for Creative and Performing Arts Corbett Theatre (108 W Central Pkwy, Cincinnati, OH 45202) on Saturday, November 23 at 4pm. Tickets at www.musechoir.org. Adult/General Admission $20, Senior/Student $17, Child $10, and Sponsored $10.  Childcare is available by reservation to muse@musechoir.org.
