Uncommon Beauty X Sparkle
On February 19th, I had the amazing opportunity to partner with Saks Fifth Avenue in my hometown of Cincinnati Ohio and kick off their “Uncommon” Beauty Week. When you hear the word “uncommon” primarily in the past it has been associated in a negative tone, but I’ve learned over the years being “uncommon” is truly an amazing thing to be. If you know my story, you know it took me a long time to find my inner beauty so when the opportunity came to share my sparkle with Saks, I was ecstatic!
I have practically grown up at Saks Fifth Avenue, I remember going with my mother at a very early age. Admiring all the chic, classic and timeless clothing, beautifully crafted shoes, amazing aroma of perfumes and amazing handbags (my favorite). Who would have thought 20-something years later, I would be featured at this same store with my book, “Finding My Sparkle.”

Rose Prick by Tom Ford
- This is a bit of a splurge, but oh so worth it (at least get a sample). Described as, “Sharp and pristine, the piercing prickles of the stems hook onto each other, bonding their blooms in pink perfection.” Personally, I love the rose fragrance that pulls through on my skin. Being a woman on the go, I found this fragrance keeps up with me throughout the day and a little goes a long way.
Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Paint-On Liquid Lip Color
- You all know I LIVE for a great lippie. Try this liquid matte line it “saturates lips with a matte finish.” It comes in an array of colors, but my personal favorite is, rebellious rose. I would make sure your lips are well moisturized before you apply any matte lipstick. Exfoliating the lips as well, especially during the winter months is also a great idea so you don’t have any peeling. With liquid mattes, I also suggest you use a great lip pencil to line the lips first for a perfect application.
Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Masque
- At the end of a busy work week, I enjoy nothing more than some self-care. This includes 5-minute soothing hydration masque from Kiehl’s. This gel masque helps to “soothe and visibly reduce signs of distress such as dry and unbalanced skin by achieving a hydrated, healthy looking complexion.” This is the perfect “reset” from a hectic and busy week! This is great for all skin types.
