What’s in my makeup bag? A look into my everyday makeup products

Leah Spurlock, Beauty Contributor

When I have a special occasion or specific look I want to achieve, I go into my back stock of cosmetics and find eyeshadow pallets, glitters, and anything else that fits the bill. But for every day, I grab my medium size makeup bag, that carries everything I need for a polished and presentable makeover. I stick with products that I know work for me, are easy to apply and have multi uses!

  • Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream

This eye cream gives me life in the morning. Packed with vitamin C and rich emollients it moisturizes and helps brighten dark circles. It’s quick and easy to apply, the dispenser tip is a round ball meant to roll the eye cream into the skin. Keep this in your makeup bag, so you never forget to pamper your under eyes.

  • Le Corrector De Chanel Longwear Concealer

One of the pricier items that I own but worth every penny! It gives medium to full coverage with a satin finish. It does in fact last all day without being dry. I use this through the center of my face, under my eyes, and around the mouth and nose. If I need more coverage, I’ll add it to any spots. I use the color 91 Caramel.

  • The multiple by Nars

As I said before, I love a product that is multi use. If versatility was a product, it would be this one! The cream color stick can be used on eyes, lips, face and body. Available in a wide range of shades, my favorite being their most popular blush color, the infamous “Orgasm.” I add some to my cheeks for a bit of color and glow, a little to the inner corner of my eyes, and tip of nose. Quick and easy no fuss blush. Add some to your collar bone for a night out!

  • Laura Mercier Matte Bronzing Powder

Bronzer for me is a must in my routine. I can contour with it or add a little color to the cheeks. I love using bronzer as an eyeshadow or even to smudge into my bottom lashes. I’ve used this one for years and it’s a staple because it has no shimmer, and the color has a cool undertone.

  • Tarte Maneater Mascara

This is a new purchase for me, and I’ve been loving it so far! It gives me full volume and lengthens, and I love how juicy the texture is. Even with lashes on I add this to help blend mine in with the falsies.

  • Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture

This liquid lipstick is fabulous and super pigmented. I carry #3 which is a bright neon fish is, adds an intense color that lasts all day! I like to tap a small amount in the center of my lips to make them look full and healthy. I recommend using an oil to remove at the end of the day. In a pinch I’ve also used this as blush, but blend quickly, one cheek at a time, this color sets almost instantly!

  • Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Spray

This is one of the best facial mists on the market! I use this to set my makeup and hydrate my skin before moisturizer. I love the travel size that I keep in my makeup bag or purse. I can refresh my makeup anytime.
