As we know, I love shopping for a beauty bargain so I was excited when I learned this issue was about beauty for less. From my previous pieces, you probably can already tell that I’m in love with Shea Moisture products. This week though, I ventured into L’Oreal’s beauty catalogue and tried out 4 different products.

The Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Nourishing Moisture FIRM + IMPROVE ELASTICITY / NURTURING OILS + MANUKA HONEY (DAY CREAM)

This day cream is filled with calcium and many antioxidants. Manuka honey is one of the main ingredients in this day cream and is beneficial because it provides antiviral, anti – inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. It is a type of honey that is indegious to New Zealand. Methylglyoxal is an active ingredient found in Manuka Honey, it is an organic compound and is perceived to be responsible for antibacterial effects. Almost immediately after putting this day cream on, my skin felt nourished, smooth, and ready for the day ahead.

Almost similar to the day cream in the main ingredients, the night cream is different in that it provides comfort and improves resilience of the skin overnight. Almost immediately after putting the night cream on, my skin felt relaxed, supple, and extremely comfortable on my silk pillow sheets that led to a deep uninterrupted night’s sleep.

The day cream formula is said to assist in strengthening the skin’s ability to retain nourishing moisture for at least 24hrs while night cream is said to assist in hydrating the skin and helping to restore the skin’s firmness and feel comfort overnight.

More recently I’ve been having long and longer nights and although I use an eye roller, I wanted to  try out L’Oreal’s new eye Age Perfect HYDRA-NUTRITION HONEY EYE GEL with DE-PUFFING ROLLERBALLS. This product is also a part of their newly launched products with nurturing oils and Manuka honey that was mentioned before.

The formula created for this product helps the skin feel smooth and supple while also making the eye area feel comfortable and I can attest to that. This week my face has seen a drastic change under my eyes to where my bags which I believe could be hereditary, less visible.

Cost: 15.99

Did I mention the smell of these products? I am absolutely in love with them and I know you’ve heard this before but when I say I love them, I really feel as though the Nurturing oils and Manuka Honey collection is a must have to add to your beauty catalogue.

I was instantly drawn to this product because of the two main ingredients of aloe water and hyaluronic acid. We’ve talked about hyaluronic acid before but for a little refresher, hyaluronic acid is a property that is naturally produced by your body and has many benefits to your skin. One of the main benefits of hyaluronic acid is this element is used to help retain water in your skin’s tissues to keep your skin well lubricated and moist.

We all love and know of aloe, Aloe water produced from aloe plants has many benefits. One of the main benefits is aloe can reduce the sight or acne and scars on the skin. It is also filled with and is a rich source of antioxidants and vitamins that can also help protect your skin. There are two types of this product, I obviously chose the glow because I love seeing my skin glow throughout the day but if you love a different look, they have the same product that has more of a matte finish.. Some immediate effects that I’ve seen throughout this week;  my skin looks to have more of a natural glowing look and feels hydrated which is something I’ve desperately been needing more of because just like everyone else, I’m still spending my time inside my house behind my computer screen.

Cost: 22.39

All of these products can be found at your local Walgreens, Duane Reade, or wherever they sell L’Oreal products.

As always my favorite note to add, please  remember to be well to yourself.
