The Cincinnati Herald is taking a look at several Team USA members as we count down to the 2020 Summer Olympics, which are being held in Tokyo, Japan starting Friday, July 23 until Sunday, August 8. Today we take a look at Aliphine Tuliamuk.
Tuliamuk is an American long-distance runner who won the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon on Feb. 29, 2020. She took advantage of the Olympic postponement to have a child in January of 2021, but kept up her intensive Olympic training.
She recently ran the Peachtree Road Race to test her endurance and placed sixth with a time of 32 minutes, 43 seconds, which is actually faster than her performance in the Peachtree Race four years ago.
