Second shooting in area in two days

EVANSTON — A 16-year-old was shot and killed in Evanston Wednesday afternoon, prompting a lockout at nearby Walnut Hills High School.
The shooting was reported around 1:30 p.m. on Jonathan Avenue. Police are canvassing the area for any suspects in the shooting. Cincinnati Police Department Lt. Col. Lisa Davis confirmed the 16-year-old was killed.
The lockout at Walnut Hills was issued shortly after the shooting, according to the school’s public information office. Dismissal has been delayed at the school.
The location of the shooting is less than a quarter mile from a drive-by shooting on Tuesday at the intersection of Montgomery Road and Clarion Avenue in Evanston.
