Moving to South Side of Bridge Friday
CINCINNATI – Through traffic traveling over the Galbraith Road bridge between Hartwell and Arlington Heights will be switched to the north side from the south side of the span beginning this Friday, Nov. 26.
The switch comes now that crews have completed the north half or eastbound side of a deck replacement project. Motorists will continue to have through access via the opposite side of the work site.
The $5.7 million project to replace the bridge deck is scheduled to be completed in late 2022.
It is being paid for with state and county funds.
Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction since crews began the project in April 2020. The bridge stretches above active railroad tracks and Anthony Wayne Avenue with Arlington Heights to the east and Hartwell to the west.
Motorists are encouraged to drive slowly and to use caution in the area.
