Denise Taylor installed as first Black president of Women’s Council or Realtors in Ohio

Denise Taylor was installed in Columbus, Ohio as the first African American President for the Women’s Council of Realtors Ohio Network on Sunday, January 23.  Taylor has been member for 8 years and looks forward to continuing the growth of its 308 members. 

The Women’s Council of Realtors is a National organization that was founded in 1938 by 37 women from nine states because women were not admitted into the Realtor Association.  Today this organization has 10,500 members and continues growing its membership. The mission of the Women’s Council of Realtors is to advance women as business leaders in the industry and in the communities they serve.

Taylor is a graduate of Xavier University and has been a licensed Realtor since 2003. She has been with Sibcy Cline Realtors for 10 years.  She has attributes much of her success to the leadership training, mentorships and friends she’s obtained since she joined the Women’s Council of Realtors.  Denise is a wife and mother. She’s married to Steven and this August they will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.  She is a proud mom to 22-year-old daughter Morgan and 20-year-old Steven, II.  Morgan just completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Bowling Green State University and Steven is working on his real estate exam and a junior studying psychology at the University of Cincinnati.

Denise was named Realtor of the Year in 2014 through her Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors.  For 5 years she managed a real estate office before deciding to get back into sales.  In 2020, she got back in and partnered with her husband Steven.  Together, they are Team Taylor.    Denise said she enjoys the synergy she has with Steven.  They are growing and expanding their team and enjoy making home ownership a reality.

Denise said she enjoys giving back to the community.  She currently serves on Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors- Board of Directors and is Liaison for the Diversity Committee.

In her spare time, she also enjoys running.  She has participated in several half marathons and 5/10k races and is currently training for her second full marathon.  Denise is inspired daily by her husband and their two kids. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her husband and dog Cody.
