3CDC presented its plan to redevelop the city’s Duke Energy Convention center and surrounding space.
CEO Steve Leeper recently presented the redesign plan to Cincinnati’s Budget and Finance Committee.
The plan would renovate Duke Energy Convention Center inside and out, creating a new design for people to gather.

The redevelopment would use the former Millennium Hotel site to expand the outdoor space outside of the convention center. Leeper said the expansion would recommend the closing of Elm Street from time to time.
The plan also included designs for a rooftop element of the convention center, adding green spaces and solar panels.
Inside, the redesign would transform meeting rooms, the expo center and other areas of the convention center.

Leeper said they are currently looking to raise $200 million to invest in the building.
Leeper said they hope to start construction in the third quarter of 2023.
Leeper also introduced the idea of an 800-room convention center hotel.
