Five people are dead and 25 are injured after a 22-year-old gunman opened fire at Club Q, a LGBTQA nightclub in Colorado Springs.
According to the Associated Press, the gunman was was subdued by “heroic” patrons and was arrested by the police, who promptly arrived at the scene.
The suspect, now identified as 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich, is in custody and is being treated for injuries.
Two firearms were found at the scene at Club Q, according Colorado Springs Police Department Chief Adrian Vasquez.
Club Q’s Facebook page have declared this a Hate Crime, but authorities have yet to determine if this is indeed a hate crime.
This is sixth mass shooting this month.
