CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday with a final score of 27-24.
The Chiefs were on the road at Paycor Stadium as the Bengals looked to replicate the AFC title championship win, they had last season.
The Bengals momentum began early in the game as QB Joe Burrow ran in a 4-yard touchdown.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is undefeated in his career against the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes. The win today gives Burrow a 3-0 record against Mahomes.
Tight end Hyden Hurst left the game early after sustaining a calf injury.
The Week 13 clash of the two teams may not be an AFC title game, but the Chiefs (9-2) headed into the game leading the AFC West. Going into today’s game, the Bengals were tied 7-4 with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North — though the Ravens held the top spot due to tiebreakers.
Both the Ravens and the Bengals are now (8-4) after today’s games.
The Bengals next game is against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, December 11 at 1:00 p.m. at home in Cincinnati.
