The spirit of Bell ‘Assai is of a young woman who offers a lavish breeze of fruits and botanicals to the Sicilian countryside. She represents the passion of families in Vittoria.

Frappato is a lovely light-bodied dry red wine with a ruby red color and violet reflections.

Bell ’Assai Frappato radiates an intense nose of roses, freesia, lavender, and wild cherries. With some age Frappato can have tastes of pomegranate, cloves, tobacco, white pepper, and dried strawberries.

Delicate tannins play well with the floral attributes of this Frappato.

Production is key to this lovely red wine from Italy.

After malolactic fermentation in a barrel then it’s aged in a steel tank for 4 months and in the bottle for at least 6 months.

For those of us that adore eggplant this is the wine to pair with any eggplant recipe.

Tomato soup, pasta salad with blistered tomatoes, stuffed bell peppers, and spaghetti with pomodoro sauce. Serve Frappato around 55-60 degrees which is a bit cooler than most dry red wines are served.

Donna Fugata respects the land that we all must share. There’re committed to producing wines that pay homage to the environment and humanity.

This winery has an impressive portfolio of white, sparkling, rosé, and red wines.

Several vintages of Frappato are featured on the website.
