The 23rd annual tournament for Reaching Out For Kids was sponsored by The Robert J. Stenger Family Inc. for their double eagle sponsorship. Over 70 golfers took part in the tournament at Avon Fields Golf Course and a number of volunteers were on hand to make sure this year’s event ran smoothly, like 13-year-old Eli Buchan from the Avondale Education Project, who helped retired educator Dolores Crowley with her golf clubs. Some former Cincinnati Bengal players also attended, including Louis Breeden, Barney Bussey and Ira Hillary, former New York Jets Curt Springs, and former police Chief Ron Twitty.
Hall of Farmer, 13-year-old Vivian Lott from Fayettville, George, and winner of a number of golf awards, was here with her father Richard Lott. Vivian will be one to watching the coming years as she make her way towards the pros. Â Before tee time at one clock, Professional Emeritus Ron Dumas and host of the tournament recognized past golfers.Â
