Monopole Rioja is the white wine with the oldest registered name in Spain. The grape variety is 100% Viura grown on vines in fresh clay soils. All work is carried out by hand, including the grape harvest. On arrival at the winery the grapes are macerated with their skins for 8 hours. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks. Monopole is a charming easy drinking Spanish light dry white wine with a twist off cap.

I adore this wine with fresh aromas of summer melons and peeled peaches.  Delightful tastes of cantaloupe, juicy honeydew melons, jasmine flowers, and raw peaches. Slightly crisp, clean, and a long light passion fruit finish.

Highly rated by well-known Rioja producer, CVNE since 1915. Monopole belongs at every summer picnic and barbeque. Versatile and pairs well with grilled chicken, ceviche, panini pressed ham sandwiches, broiled trout, mussels with plenty of garlic, barbeque pork chops, and Spanish paella. The acidity and fruit forwardness of Monopole is great for new wine drinkers. This delicious light dry white wine is easily found in the retail market and a great value.
