On September 28, the White House hosted the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health. This is the first event of its kind that has happened in more than 50 years. Kroger was the only retail grocer that was invited to participate in the critical conversations about how to:
• Improve food access and affordability;
• Integrate nutrition and health;
• Empower all consumers to make and have access to healthy choices; and
• Enhance nutrition and food security research.
Kroger President and CEO, Rodney McMullen attended the Conference and shared how Kroger is already taking significant strides in the above-mentioned pillars. Members of the Kroger Health team hosted health and nutrition industry experts for a roundtable conversation about collaborative opportunities, as well as a watch party in DC for the Conference.
