The recent 13th Annual Black & White Cancer Survivors Gala hosted local cancer survivors and their families as they celebrated the gift of life, strength and resilience in a glamorous and uplifting atmosphere at Duke Energy Convention Center.
The evening was filled with inspiring stories, live music, dancing and delicious food. The gala aims to bring together cancer survivors, their families, and supporters to honor their journey and raise awareness about cancer prevention and treatment.

This black tie event was hosted by Dr. Keith Melvin and Bill Mabrey. Radio/TV personality Lincoln Ware, and radio personality Faith Daniels served as Master and Mistress of Ceremony.ย The 2nd Wind Bandย provided live entertainment! Special performances were by Ed “Sax” Thomas and Jameze Latrail. DJ Vader provided the dance music.

The Black & White Cancer Survivors Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise cancer awareness, especially in the local minority communities where medical research shows that minorities are disproportionately affected by cancer.
