On April 20, identical triplet sisters Brittany, Brooke and Brianna Jones were initiated into the Omicron Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated at the University of Cincinnati.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is the first intercollegiate historically African American sorority. The sorority was founded on January 15, 1908, at the historically Black Howard University in Washington, D.C., by a group of 16 students led by Ethel Hedgemon Lyle.

The sisters are not only making history in the Omicron Chapter, but also are continuing the legacy of their mother, Brandee Carson-Jones. This makes them a triple legacy. They also have the support of their father, Jeffrey Jones, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. This connection makes their entire family part of what is known as “Phirst Pham” within the Divine Nine.

The Omicron chapter has been chartered for 103 years. They are the first set of identical triplets to be initiated into the Omicron chapter, therefore making history for the chapter.
