This summer, it was the “Day of Love” A community festival at the historic Lincoln Heights Memorial Field, and this past Sunday, it was the “Gift of Love.” Immediately following morning service, LHMBC officers stationed themselves at grocery stores throughout the Cincinnati area to bless shoppers at random by paying for their groceries. LHMBC was able to bless over 60 unsuspecting shoppers.
“It is a painful truth that this holiest of seasons is also a period in which so many feel overwhelmed and forgotten. It is important to us as a Church that people know they matter. That’s what ‘The Gift of Love’ is all about; that’s what Christmas is all about,” said LHMBC pastor Rev. Dr. Julian Armand Cook. Ph.D.
LHMBC hopes to make this an annual event to inspire a much-needed movement of kindness and sharing. LHMBC invites you to worship with them in person or virtually every Sunday at 10 a.m. Worship takes place at 9991 Wayne Ave, Woodlawn, Ohio, 45215.
