The Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA) exists to do three things: inspire and support school leaders, develop exemplary leadership, and champion public education across Ohio.

That mission gained a new voice on Tuesday, August 12, when Mr. G. Elgin Card, Superintendent of Princeton City Schools, was sworn in as BASAโ€™s Regional 6 Director.

Region 6 represents a diverse and dynamic area of Ohio, including the school districts of Butler, Hamilton, Warren, Clinton, Clermont, Fayette, Highland, Brown, and Adams counties. In this role, Mr. Card will work alongside fellow leaders on BASAโ€™s 18-member Executive Committee โ€” the organizationโ€™s governing board โ€” to shape policy, strengthen member support, and ensure that every student in Ohio has access to high-quality public education.

โ€œServing as Regional 6 Director gives me the opportunity to strengthen collaboration between our districts and amplify the resources, training, and advocacy that directly benefit our students and families,โ€ said Card. โ€œThis work is about ensuring that every child โ€” in every community โ€” has the tools and support they need to succeed.โ€

Known for his dedication to innovation, equity, and community engagement, Card brings both experience and vision to the role. His leadership will help drive BASAโ€™s mission forward in Southwest Ohio and beyond.
