Leafy is an eco-friendly brand that focuses on the betterment of the environment through the benefits of bamboo. Established during the COVID-19 pandemic. When a strong demand for essential products like toilet paper effected the nation.
Since then, Leafy educates and elevates consumers to be more socially conscious. Its top product is ultra soft bamboo toilet paper.
Bamboo toilet paper and traditional toilet paper are produced with different manufacturing processes. Traditional toilet paper is colored white due to bleaching. It begins as wood fiber and separates from the lignin. A rigid polymer that glues wood fibers together.
Wood based pulp is then bleached using two common methods. Elemental chlorine free bleaches by using chlorine dioxide instead of using chlorine gas. Totally chlorine free bleaches with hydrogen peroxide instead of chlorine.
Leafy toilet paper is made from all-natural bamboo. Sourced in China and made in the USA. Bamboo is an anti-inflammatory, hypoallergenic, and has anti-bacterial properties.
The bamboo manufacturing process does not require the use of chlorine or bleach. It retains a natural tan color due to being unbleached. Chemical and scent free. Great for sensitive skin and works with septic tanks.
Leafy packaging is made with 100% sugarcane, no plastic and Bisphenol A (BPA) free. Sold and shipped in 12, 24, and 80 single rolls. A subscription service is available to keep rolls stocked.
I have used the 24 pack. The bamboo toilet paper is sturdy, strong, absorbent and handles personal business. Easily flushes down the toilet. Each roll is individually wrapped.
