With the rising cost of food and the increasing demand for food in the community, Freestore Foodbank teamed up with the Reds Community Fund to hold a drive-through Holiday Meal Distribution on Thursday, Nov. 21 at the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy, 2026 E Seymour Avenue in Roselawn.
The holiday box included chicken/turkey, canned vegetables, macaroni and cheese, gravy, stuffing, potatoes, fresh produce and other holiday fixings.
Families will be able to drive through the distribution line at the Reds Youth Academy location and receive a holiday box while remaining in their vehicle.
“The Reds and the Youth Academy are honored to host this event for the fifth year in a row to help local families during the holidays,” said Charley Frank, Executive Director of the Reds Community Fund.
“The rising cost of food continues to impact families across the Tri-State. This drive-through distribution in partnership with the Cincinnati Reds and the Reds Youth Academy, generous donors and volunteers is a way to make sure families can put food on the table during the holiday season,” says Kurt Reiber, President & CEO of Freestore Foodbank.
