Cincinnati honors Dr. O’Dell Owens with street renaming

Central Parkway in Cincinnati’s West End neighborhood has been renamed “Dr. O’dell Owens Way” in honor of Dr. O’dell Moreno Owens, who made significant contributions to the city through medicine and public service, including establishing the fertilization program at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with the first successful in vitro conception and delivery in the city, serving as Hamilton County Coroner, president of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, Interim Cincinnati Health Commissioner, and president and CEO of Interact for Health before passing away suddenly in November 2022.
