The Avondale Community Council & Avondale’s Avenue District Block Club’s 7th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive is Saturday, November 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Peace Baptist Church, 652 Rockdale Ave. Cincinnati, 45229

Over the past 2 years, there has been an increase of families coming to this event to receive a food bag. The goal was reached at 400 families, but there are still walk-in families that had to be turned away.

This year, the Book Club expects to feed 600 families in the Avondale Community including the senior community, our neighborhood schools students and their families, and local residents.

The food bag usually consists of a turkey, gravy, dressing, green beans, corn, a bag of potatoes, cranberry sauce, aluminum foil, aluminum baking pan and more…

Your contribution of volunteers, gift-in-kind and financial assistance we can make this happen. Due to rising costs of food, turkeys and materials, we anticipate food bags to cost approximately $45. Your generous donation is greatly appreciated.

Please mail/deliver your check to:

AVONDALE COMMUNITY COUNCIL   (Memo-AADBC), 3635 Reading Road Cincinnati, OH  45229 ATTN: AADBC.

Donations are due by October 27.  This will let us know how much more we will need to raise in order to reach our projected goal of 600 families.  We send in our order for turkeys by Nov. 1.
