Woman’s City Club and its Thriving Cincinnati project invite the public to its second in a series of programs celebrating innovative employers who are adopting measures to help their employees move from surviving to thriving, helping struggling workers find and stay in good jobs and better balance work and family life. Some of these like Nehemiah Manufacturing are recruiting workers with many challenges, such as criminal records, gaps in employment, and other barriers to finding meaningful work.

This program, Jan. 26, will feature Nehemiah Manufacturing. Founded in 2009, Nehemiah Manufacturing partners with companies and entrepreneurs to license/acquire small brands, innovate new product concepts, and contract manufacture products. Their mission is to build brands, create jobs in Cincinnati?s inner city, and change lives.

CEO Dan Meyer and team members Cami Dawson-Moody, and Katie Schad will talk about how Nehemiah in carrying out its mission helps people needing a second chance become successfully employed in collaboration with social service agencies.

Brennan Grayson, executive director of the Cincinnati Interfaith Workers Institute, will facilitate the program. The audience will have ample time for questions, discussion, and story sharing.
