CINCINNATI, OH – The Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition presents “50 Years After Dr. King’s Assassination: Cincinnati Remembers.” Three speakers will explore questions and discuss strategies needed to move forward for 2018 and beyond. The forum will include speaker presentations, a panel discussion, and interactive dialogue with the audience.
Speakers include Rev. Damon Lynch, III, pastor of New Prospect Baptist Church; Dr. Adam Clark, Associate Professor of Theology at Xavier University; and Dr. Tonya Matthews, chief executive officer and president at Michigan’s Science Center. Dr. Littisha Bates, Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Cincinnati, will serve as moderator for the forum.
Annie Ruth will offer programming for children aged 4-10, and WordPlay will offer activities for youth aged 11-18.
The Forum and children’s programming are free and open to the public. The event will be held on Saturday, April 7, 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at New Prospect Baptist Church, 1580 Summit Rd. Doors open at 12:30 P.M. Attendees can Pre-register at https://50yearscincinnati.eventbrite.com.
