What is a primary? A primary is an election where political parties nominate their candidates for the General Election, which will be held on November 6. At the primary election, voters will be asked to select a ballot. Only one ballot may be selected. The choices are: Democratic party/issues ballot, Republican party/issues ballot, Green party/issues ballot, or issues only ballot. To view your sample ballot, please go to our website and click on the May 2018 Election page.

Precinct election officials are compensated for their work and play a critical role in the election process.
