A few spots remain for underrepresented student musicians in classical music to apply for an opportunity to receive FREE instruction from top teachers and mentors as part of the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra NOUVEAU (NEW-Voh) Pre-Conservatory Program starting this September.

The program is open to students in grades 6-10 to prepare a path to greater diversity and inclusion for musicians of backgrounds historically underrepresented in orchestras including Black, African-American, and Latinos.

Through a supportive network of private teachers, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra musicians and administrators, students are assisted in realizing their potential as the next generation of classical musicians.

Students are immersed in an environment for success that includes FREE weekly lessons, music theory classes, coaching, performance opportunities and financial assistance for summer music study opportunities and college auditions.

The application process includes submitting audio or videotape. This submission does not require a professionally produced recording.  iPhone video will work.

Deadline to submit applications is June 30!
