Event allows diverse suppliers to pitch skills to Fifth Third, Messer

Titled The Pitch, this half-day, innovative event will feature a fun, dynamic competition at which diverse suppliers can pitch their skills to Fifth Third and to Messer. The Fifth Third winner will receive a bank contract, with second-, third-, and fourth-place winners earning cash prizes to be used for their business. The Messer winner will receive a mentoring and coaching advice for their business.

All small, minority- and women-owned businesses that participate in the competition – regardless of whether they win –will receive one-on-one coaching from Fifth Third executives throughout the event, plus follow-up coaching from both the bank and Messer. Additionally, recipients will be invited to attend four Fifth Third Bank EmpowerU sessions that will focus on tactical financial information that will help their business succeed.

The Pitch will kick off at 4 p.m. July 26 at Union Hall, 1311 Vine St., Cincinnati, 45202.
