Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters, Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil and other law enforcement agencies on Monday discussed nine recent child pornography indictments in Hamilton County.
The arrests include a youth soccer coach and a former Walnut Hills teacher.
“My office handles many murders, rapists and horrible offenders, but these offenders are some of the most disgusting, depraved offenders we ever face,” said Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters.
Deters said the children involved are as young as a few months old in some cases.
“We truly believe when children are involved that we have to just hammer these defendants and that is the goal of this office and that’s what we’re going to do.”
Recently indicted were Eric Koch, Jeremy Collins, Zachary Courtney-Kidwell, Clinton Williams, Thomas Thompson, Brian Hronek, Dana Beasly, John Chavies and Alex Randolph.
All are facing various charges.
Koch possessed photos of minors engaging in sexual activity. If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of 15 years in prison and registration as a Tier II sex offender.
Collins is a former German teacher at Walnut Hills High School, who exchanged nude photos with a female student. If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of three years in prison and registration as a Tier I sex offender.
Courtney possessed photos of minors engaging in sexual activity. If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of three years in prison and registration as a Tier II sex offender.
Williams possessed photos of nude minors and minors engaging in sexual activity. If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of six years in prison and registration as a Tier II sex offender.
Thompson possessed photos of minors engaged in sexual activity. If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of seven years in prison and registration as a Tier II sex offender.
Hronek, a former youth soccer coach, possessed photos and videos of minors engaging in sexual activity and allegedly shared those videos and photos with others. If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of 80 years in prison and registration as a Tier II sex offender.
Beasley possessed videos of child pornography and disseminated them. If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of 40 years in prison and registration as a Tier II sex offender.
Chavies possessed child pornography and disseminated it. If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of eight years in prison and registration as a Tier II sex offender.
Randolph possessed nude photos of minors as well as photos of minors engaging in sexual activity. If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of six years in prison and registration as a Tier II sex offender.
(Tier I sex offenders must register once a year for 15 years. Tier II sex offenders must register every 180 days for 25 years.)
