CINCINNATI, OH: In partnership with the Ohio History Connection, the Harriet Beecher Stowe House in Walnut Hills began welcoming visitors again Thursday, June 18, 2020.

Guided tours are available by appointment, generally from 10am-4pm Thursdays-Saturdays and Sundays 12pm-4pm.  Visitors can make an appointment by filling out a form on the www.stowehousecincy.org website or by calling the museum at 513-751-0651. Each tour is customized to the special interests of the visitors and children are welcome. Contactless payment is preferred, but cash will also be accepted. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for college students and seniors, and $3 for ages 6-17. Ages 5 and under are free. The admission fee is waived for members of the Friends of Harriet Beecher Stowe House and members of the Ohio History Connection.

All volunteers and staff will be wearing face coverings to protect visitors during their visit. We strongly encourage guests to return the favor and will have disposable masks available if needed. The museum’s capacity is currently two family groups. Each group will be no larger than 9. Groups will be on a staggered tour schedule so that they do not interact and will remain more than 6 feet apart. When you arrive, your guide will ask you to affirm your current state of health and that you do not have a cough or tightening in the chest, and that no one else in your household is ill. The full re-opening protocol is available on the website here: https://www.stowehousecincy.org/covid.html

Virtual programs and discussion groups will continue online as on-site tours resume. The next online discussion group will be Saturday, June 27th at 12pm. Volunteer Barbara Furr will lead discussion on the book We are Your Sisters: Black Women in the 19th century. Visitors can RSVP at www.stowehousecincy.org and can purchase the book through curbside pickup at the museum.

Our top priority is the safety of our visitors and staff. We are following guidelines provided by the Ohio Department of Health to create the safest environment possible as we reopen.
