Early voters wrapped around the Hamilton County Board of Elections Tuesday morning as voters lined up to be the first to vote in-person, as voting in the November 3 Presidential Election began.

Several Hamilton County residents stayed overnight outside at the Hamilton County Board of Elections in order to draw attention to the fact that there are just four weeks to vote early.

This non-partisan effort simply aims at increasing voter participation which has been very low in hamilton County and across the nation, especially when compared to other countries around the world, many of whom have 70%-90% voting rates as compared to Hamilton County, which hovers only around 50% in Presidential election years and far less in mid-term and municipal elections.

The Board of Elections is open for voting from 8am to 5pm. Monday through Friday with extended hours to 7pm on October 26-30.

Early voting at the BOE is also on October 24 and 31 (both Saturdays until 4pm) and on October 25 and November 1 (both Sundays from 1-5pm).
