What made you start your business?
I started my business for myself first. My children and I have eczema and I wanted a product that was natural to treat it. The steroids that were prescribed to us damaged our skin. I did some research and fell in love with honey and its healing properties. I created a sugar scrub with honey and essential oils and my family started using it regularly. It cleared up our outbreaks and gave us beautiful natural skin. I started getting asked often what skin care product I use so I registered my business and started selling jars to people who wanted to try it.
How does it empower you as a Black Woman in the Beauty Field?
Having great skin gives me the confidence I need to go out in public and promote my products.
What are 3 of your favorite beauty items you can’t live without?
1. Honey! I keep a bottle of Aunt Sue’s Raw and Unfiltered Wildflower Honey in my shower.
2. Turmeric and Honey with Oats bar soap.
3. Florida Water Cologne
Anything else our beauty readers should know about you?
My products are made with all-natural ingredients. I can make the scrub without honey if you are allergic. It is safe to use on anyone over the age of 1 who is not allergic to honey. My face mist includes a rose quartz inside the bottle. All products are made at time of order, so you get the freshest product possible.
