CINCINNATI – Cincinnati native, Pastor John Gray remains in critical condition in an Atlanta hospital on Wednesday according to an update Relentless Church, where he serves as head pastor with his wife, Aventer Gray.

Relentless Church issues a release to TV station Fox Carolina on Wednesday:

“Pastor John Gray continues to be treated by team of professionals now in Atlanta, GA after being transferred from Alabama for his condition. Pastor Aventer and the entire Relentless Church family are thankful for the abundance of well wishes and prayers for his safe and immediate recovery. Services will continue as planned and we will lift up the name of Jesus at this time. They continue to ask for privacy during their navigation of this time  and remain appreciative of the outpouring of love and support.”

On Sunday in a Facebook, Aventer Gray posted that Gray had been admitted to the hospital with several blood clots in a leg, both lungs and a saddle Pulmonary Embolism located in the pulmonary artery in the heart.

Mrs. Gray said in her social media post that Gray had to remain still and not move because hospital officials told them most people who have the pulmonary embolism are dead. The fact that he walked into the hospital after not feeling well for several days is unique. She urged all to pray for her husband and hoping for a miracle.

In an updated post on social media Mrs. Gray thanked everyone saying prayers are working because a blood clot in Gray’s leg had disappeared.

According to People Magazine, John Gray is known for his work with Joel Olsteen at his Lakewood Church and later for his three-year reality TV show “Book of John Gray” on OWN. Over four years ago, Gray and his wife, started Relentless Church in Greenville, S.C. and opened a second location last year in Powder Springs, Georgia.
