What made you start your business?
I do a great deal of travel for my job and I traveled a lot with my parents as a kid. Being a young mother myself I never got to enjoy that with my own children. I made a promise to myself that I would encourage and educate them on seeing the world as adults. I’m always planning flights, finding the best hotels, making reservations for my adult children and my significant other so I decided to make money while doing it. My travel specialty is GenX travel for couples, singles, and families.
How does it empower you as a Black Woman in the Beauty Field?
It’s empowered me to embrace my flaws and love US as a collective. Black women have some of the most unique features, sense of style, and let’s not talk about what we can do with our hair! When traveling you get a chance to see beauty and style from all parts of the world.
What are 3 of your favorite beauty items you can’t live without?
- 100% pure shea butter
- my Tweezerman brand Ultra slant tweezers
- homemade exfoliating face scrub (coconut oil, honey, brown sugar)
Anything else our beauty readers should know about you?
I’m slightly a nerd that enjoys Roman history, true crime podcasts, and listening to historical fiction audiobooks
