Training leaders to be creative and agile has never been more important as organizations adapt to current times, and a focus on greater diversity, equity and inclusion is central to leadership in the nonprofit sector. OneSource Center for Nonprofit Excellence’s Emerging Leader Award addresses the relationship of both points.

The Emerging Leader Award includes a personal coach for the year and a scholarship to the Nonprofit Leadership of Greater Cincinnati’s (NLIGC) highly lauded year-long nonprofit leadership development program, EXCEL. This in-depth program trains leaders in all aspects of nonprofit management and governance, and sets attendees on a path to leadership growth and success.

Alex Morton-Green, Development Director at Dress for Success Cincinnati, has been selected as the 2022 OneSource Center Emerging Leader Award recipient. Her previous work at Ohio Valley Voices, Make-A-Wish OKI, and Urban League of Greater SW Ohio has given Alex a solid grounding in nonprofit work. Recognized for her prior work by Cincinnati Parks Foundation, The Cincinnati Herald, Urban League, and JDRF, Alex is poised for advancement. In her nomination of Alex for this award, Lisa Nolan, Executive Director of Dress for Success, stated “She takes initiative and sets substantial goals for herself and her team. She’s tuned into team dynamics and has great instinct for how to motivate the team to achieve results. We are proud to recognize Alex Morton-Green as an emerging leader in the nonprofit sector.”

OneSource Center sponsors this award to support those who have been under-represented in nonprofit leadership circles and to strengthen the management skills of future changemakers.

NLIGC (Nonprofit Leadership Institute of Greater Cincinnati) is a joint venture of OneSource Center and Talbert House.
