Cincinnati community members gathered for the Juneteenth Flag Raising ceremony on Friday, June 16, 2023, at City Hall. The ceremony included speeches from Mayor Aftab Pureval, City Manager Sheryl Long, and other organization leaders and community members. Speeches touched on the history of Juneteenth, the progression that’s been made, and the importance of creating a more inclusive and diverse environment for everyone, especially the youth of Cincinnati. The program also included songs and prayers led by members of the community.
