(Cincinnati): Cheer on Cincy Rec’s future generation of Lifeguards at CRC’s Junior Guard Olympics on Saturday, July 20th from 10 AM to 2 PM at Ryan Pool.

For the past 6 weeks, CRC’s award-winning Junior Lifeguard program has provided the building blocks and training for youths 11 to 14 to master the Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification. Over 70 Junior Guards will compete in water and on land to display the skills they have learned and honed over the summer months. Junior guards compete for the gold in events mirroring Red Cross certifications, adult CPR, active victim, water tread, brick retrieval, kick relay, and more. Awards for individual, team times, and point totals, celebrate their work as they move closer to receiving a whistle, lanyard, and becoming a CRC Red Cross Certified Lifeguard!

In 2024, CRC opened 100% of City pools for the first time since the pandemic. This is possible because of continuous recruitment, training, and programs like Jr. Lifeguard Academy. Celebrate the importance of this program and the impact of CRC Aquatics this Saturday and show your appreciation for Cincinnati’s current and FUTURE Lifeguards!
