Peach Tree Advocacy hosts a back to school event giving away supplies, backpacks, menstrual products and more at Mount Healthy City Park, 1541 Hill Ave, Mt. Healthy, Ohio 45231, on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11.
Peach Tree Advocacy has partnered with Love In Action to host Back(pack) 2 School W/ Peach Tree. The purpose of this event is to give the Mt. Healthy community and neighboring school districts, such as but not limited to, Northwest Local School District, Finneytown Local School District and North College Hill City School District, access to free school supplies and resources to start the school year on a fresh, positive note. This event will not only bring neighboring communities together by offering supplies and resources but, there is a lot of room for fun.
Some of the attractions that Peach Tree will have at this event include a dj, raffle prizes, games, food, a magician and a face painter.
Resources set to be in attendance include Nevertheless, CCCCoaching, Newrui, Love In Action and more. In addition, Peach Tree has also partnered with Girls Health Period to provide young ladies with menstrual products to promote girl/women’s health.
There will be something for everyone of all ages to engage in including chair massages for parents and teachers.In attendance with also be a couple of barbers/hair stylists giving free haircuts and simple styles to the youth in the community. Lonewolf Productions will be taking shots of the event.
“Our goal at Peach Tree is to connect with youth and provide them with resources, skills and knowledge before they become transitional youth aged (17-24). We are a grassroots organization that quickly finds the needs of these individuals that may not be getting properly addressed and figure out how we can use our resources to help alleviate the barriers that underserved children and young adults are facing,” said founder and CEO Ciera George.
