The 2020 Oyster Ridge is a dry red full-bodied blend. It opens with a captivating nose of black plum, boysenberry, saddle leather, Dutch cocoa powder, and toasted oak. The palate has layered flavors of black cherry, cassis, blueberry, pomegranate, cola, and crushed fall leaves.

Plush tannins bring an integrated finish. A wine designed to evolve in the bottle for years to come. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, and the final blend is placed in barrels that exhibited complexity. The finished wine is delicious and round on the palate for pairing with grilled steak with mushrooms, turkey meatloaf loaded with peppers, oxtail stew, and lamb gyros.

2021 Quarry Nebbiolo

This limited-production wine is a passion project by Winemaker Stewart Cameron, who was inspired by the great Nebbiolo of Northern Italy.

Displays enticing aromas of rose petals, Bing cherry, dried Mediterranean herbs, earth, and black tea. The palate is lively with flavors of tart cranberry, cherries, fresh sage, mushrooms, and spring leaves. Nice acidity, dry, medium-bodied red with a memorable long finish. Enjoy this expressive wine with prime rib, barbecued chicken, and rustic Italian flatbreads with olives. The name Nebbiolo derives from Nebbia, which translates into “fog”.

2021 Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet Sauvignon is a dry medium to full-bodied wine. The flagship wine of Ancient Peaks in Paso Robles. Opens with expressive aromas of red plum, boysenberry, currants, and toasted oak. I like the taste of dried sage, cedar, and a hint of cigar smoke. This wine will age well if cellared properly and enjoyed for years to come. Paso Robles indeed produces a nice Cab and is always delicious and makes a great gift. Pairs well with smothered Sailsbury steak, stuffed peppers, vegan chili, and Loco Moco a classic Hawaiian dish.

2022 Merlot

Merlot is a dry medium-bodied red wine and has been a mainstay at Ancient Peaks since day one. Ancient seabed soils and a long growing season to yield a merlot with silky textures. Resulting in what has become known as a great Paso Robles classic red wine. Spending 18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. Great tastes of cassis, coco nibs, mulberries, and medium tannins. Pairs with a roast beef sandwich with horseradish, turkey burgers with blue cheese, and Italian style subs.

Ancient Peaks has an incredible portfolio of Paso Robles wines.
