Gervasi Vineyard Resort & Spa is one of my favorite places in the country to visit.
Its presence has re-hydrated Stark County, Ohio and brought a sense of style and elegance. Located at 1700 55th Street NE, Canton, OH 44721
Scott Swaldo is the CEO and GM at Gervasi Vineyard. The property is incredibly beautiful and has a feeling of being transported to an Italian paradise. Gervasi’s growth is unprecedented in the few years of its inception in 2009. Only a 3.5-hour trip from the Queen city and could be the ultimate staycation. There are three properties and all are amazing in their own way.
The Villas
Had a recent face lift and are more glamourous than ever!
Enter through a stunning lobby with comfortable dining areas and access to a shared patio. The furniture and bedding are such high quality, and the fireplace is next level. Iron chandeliers instantly transport you to an Italian Villa.
Two breakfasts per room are complimentary and can be ordered between the hours of 7am-9am. Allow up to 40 minutes for the order to be delivered. Buttery croissants, sliced fruit, juice, teas and coffee arrive in a darling wooden box.
The Greek yogurt layered with berry compote and homemade granola is fantastic. My favorite is the oatmeal with pecans, sunflower seeds, tart raspberries, and brown sugar. There are several breakfast options to choose from.
Gervasi’s luxury boutique hotel hosts 24 individual suites featuring king-sized beds, fireplaces, heated floors (in cooler months) and other high-end decor. Each room has an adjacent covered patio, allowing guests to enjoy the picturesque view of a courtyard, lake with swans.
The Casa
The 18,000-square-foot boutique hotel structure houses a shared lobby and an exercise facility. A complimentary Italian-style continental breakfast is offered each morning, and deluxe in-room services are also available.
A 375-square-foot private suite features one king bed, two club chairs, ottoman and adjacent 110-square-foot covered veranda. Maximum number of guests per room is two.
The Farmhouse
Experience a piece of history with a stay in the property’s original farmhouse from 1830. Completely restored and modernized, this beautiful 2,200-square-foot home has all the charm of an 1800s farmhouse combined with updated features and all the conveniences of a modern home. Continental breakfast isn’t available at the Farmhouse.
The Farmhouse sleeps 8 guests with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, dining room, sitting room, dressing room and a modern kitchen. The spacious wrap-around porch provides a relaxing retreat with stunning views. A great place to enjoy a bottle of Gervasi wine and soak up peaceful luxury.
The Marketplace
Enter through the doors of the chic Marketplace at Gervasi Vineyard. Hip modern style with amazing hardwood floors. It’s the perfect place to shop for a Gervasi memento or choose a statement piece for your home. Gervasi t-shirts, bottles of Gervasi fine Italian wines, Gervasi spirits, glassware, kitchen gadgets, and purchase gift cards there.
The Spa
I don’t know of anyone who couldn’t benefit from a massage or a day of pampered spa treatments.
The 5,000 sq. ft. facility transcends guests to a high-end luxurious spa. The spa is available for overnight guests as well as the public. Appointments must be scheduled in advance and secured with a major credit card and phone number. Hotel guests have the option to room charge on the day of services, as the spa is a cashless environment.
Glam Services are for the person who knows their worth and shines bright for all to see. All glam services include choice of a complimentary beverage, including Gervasi Vineyard wine selections & a warmed neck wrap. All the technicians are certified in their field of expertise. Manicures, massages, pedicures, hairstyles, make up, lashes, and bridal make up. Set an appointment for a wax, brow, lip, chin, Brazilian wax, and more. The waiting room is elegant and comfortable with incredible views of the property.
There is a free shuttle service to get around the vast property and parking is also free. Check with the website for days and times of the shuttle. Log onto the marvelous website to find out about the live music itinerary at Gervasi.
