There are many food options for a delicious meal at the Summit Hotel.
Overlook Kitchen+Bar is on the 4th floor of the hotel. The bar opens at 4PM and the kitchen opens at 5 PM. Beautiful views of Madisonville from the large clean windows. An expansive roof top seating area with gardens and a fire pit awaits you. I can image a wedding with all the trimmings taking place there.

I ordered the falafel pita with humus, pickled onions, roasted red peppers, and grilled flat bread. The falafels were soft inside and crunchy outside. The wine program is amazing featuring wines from all over the world at fair prices. I had a delicious glass of 2019 Nebbiolo from Italy, served at the perfect temperature.
My meal was the pan sheared chicken, potatoes Au gratin, heirloom carrots, citrus herb butter sauce and tender chicken. I paired the meal with a rosรฉ from France which was deep in rich strawberry flavor and a bright citrus finish. The prices are comparable to most sit-down meals in the Queen city.
My friend had the battered cod sandwich with fries. He said the fried fish wasn’t oily and the toppings of hand shredded red cabbage was a key part of the composition.

Two desserts on the menu and I made it my duty and tried both. The multi-layer carrot cake was moist with real carrots, baking spices, classic cream cheese frosting, and a caramel drizzle. Chocolate torte with whipped cream and summer berries has a deep depth of texture and rich cocoa taste. Both desserts will leave your sweet tooth satisfied.
My server was a well-trained young woman who just stared her career at the Summit Hotel, and she was amazing and did a fabulous job! She suggested that I try the Pom Spritz cocktail and I was happy I took her advice. Frothy from the prosecco an addition of blackberry syrup delivered a shock of sweetness at the end.
Wake Up and Smell the Coffee
The Market serves breakfast Tuesday-Friday: 7:00-10:00 AM & Saturday-Sunday: 7:00-11:00 AM. I was shocked to see so much high-quality food on a breakfast buffet.
Oat milk, cow’s milk, vegan almond milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, national cereal brands, and omelets made to order. Every imaginable pastry, bagels, jams, croissants, crisp bacon, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, fresh cut fruits, waffles, national brand yogurts, on and on it went.

I ate all my favorites and tried a couple of new items. The seating is spacious with bright tangerine chairs and comfortable booths. The handmade smoothies were my favorite items on the menu. I found the elaborate buffet to be a wonderful value.

Element Eatery
Element Eatery is basically across the Summit Hotel parking lot. Element Eatery is a food hall with a collection of restaurants. Vendors vary and there is also a bar with good cocktails and a nice wine list. A nice place to go during the week for remote work and lunch. Special events often take place on the weekends. Iโve been there before enjoying the vibe and atmosphere.
