Iโ€™m very excited about a new bold dry red wine from Italy!

Luce is the first wine to be produced from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot in Montalcino.

In stunning harmony with the structure of Sangiovese and the roundness of Merlot. Luce is a full-bodied masterpiece which leads me to wonder why this merger hasnโ€™t happened until now?

I really enjoy both varieties, with merlot being my favorite of the two.

Gorgeous bottle with the sun radiating outward.

The word โ€œLuceโ€ translated in Italian means light.

The bouquet reminds me of mulberries while still on the vine, and you experience the smell of the leaves in one note. The merlot has a strong presence in the nose, and the cassis is dominant. Baking spices of mace and cinnamon dust is very attractive on the nose.

Bold and romantic on the tongue with tempered tannins. Merlot tastes like chocolate, cocoa powder, and currents.

The Sangiovese has tastes of vibrant acidity and flavors of sour cherry, earthy oregano, thyme, and parsley. Savory characteristics such as roasted tomato, or black tea. Also plum, blackberry, vanilla, flint, and field mushrooms come into focus. This blend gives both grapes an equal time to shine and the wine is impressive in terms of style and elegance.

Pairs with rich meats, grilled steaks, sausage with peppers, BLT sandwich, meatloaf, black olives pasta salad, Roquefort cheese, drunken goat cheese, and Gorgonzola cheese. I enjoyed my bottle with deep fried portabella mushrooms; this is my best dish to prepare.

My artwork has the bottle of Tenuta Luce Toscana in an intense night sky, featuring manifestation rocks underneath.
