McCormick & Schmick’s restaurant is at 21 E 5th Street in the Fountain District downtown Cincinnati. Hours are Sunday to Thursday11:30 am to 9:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 11:30 am to 10:00 pm. Happy Hour is 3:30 to 6:30 pm Monday-Friday, and a great time to check out this amazing restaurant.
The Happy Hour menu is one of the best I’ve seen since living in the Queen City. A long list of quality choices, nice sized portions of scrumptious trending dishes. Awesome seating area for the Happy Hour, with choice of a booth, bar, or a high-top. The prices being so terrific, I ordered several items.
My favorite was the fish tacos with fried cod in a light batter, fresh juicy pineapple chunks, avocado cream, marinated red slaw, spicy sour cream in a flour tortilla. The flavorful tender Korean boneless fried chicken, the red Thai peppers pack a punch. Truffle fries were thin with parmesan cheese and drizzled truffle oil with fresh herbs. Nashville hot chicken sliders came with fries, coleslaw, and house made Pickles on a Brioche bun. Great wine choices from $6.50 and a second tier for $8.50 per glass.
The Happy Hour menu includes Borbon, Scotch, Gin, and Vodka, Wagyu beef, mussels, shrimp, cheeseburgers, flatbread, and much more. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday’s offer special incentives.
I enjoyed a glass of Studio Miraval rosé from France and paired lovely with fish tacos. OMG the cocktails on the Happy Hour menu are exciting and I ordered the Bacardi rum blackberry mojito with sliced strawberries, blackberry syrup, whole blackberries, and a fresh lime wedge.
A large cocktail with plenty of rum that I enjoyed tremendously! Excellent service and the Manager came around checking on the guests. I will be returning soon to explore the full menu as it offers steaks, oysters and seafood. Pasta, desserts, and fresh sides to please the gourmet food lover.
