What made you start your business?
I started my business initially because I wanted to get back into influencing and making YouTube tutorials. I never really planned to take clients. Then one thing led to another and before I knew it I was taking makeup classes from some elite makeup artist and slowly but surely building a clientele.
How does it empower you as a Black Woman in the Beauty Field?
It empowers me because it allows me to share my knowledge with other black women. For so long the beauty industry was not meant for us, especially darker skinned black women. I take pride in having the knowledge and skill set to service a variety of skin tones. Being able to educate my clients on product knowledge and skin care helps their beauty standards improve and become more attainable.Â
What are 3 of your favorite beauty items you can’t live without?
My top 3 favorite beauty items are Mac Skin finish press powder, Mac lip liner in the shade chestnut and Laura Mercier setting powders.
