Champagne isn’t just for celebrations, and it’s made from a combination of chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier.

Champagne is from the Champagne region in France, and other sparkling wines aren’t permitted to use the name Champagne.

Despite a popular myth, brut nature and brute savage are the driest versions of Champagne. Brut, is dry, demi-sec is slightly sweet, and doux is sweet.

Champagne is fermented twice using CO2 and during the second fermentation is when the more than 40 million bubbles are formed. This is called method traditional, and these bubbles have a short shelve life, add orange juice to create a mimosa.
