Barolo is a dry red wine produced in the Piedmont region of Italy. The wine is made from a Nebbiolo grape, a small thin skinned red grape varietal high in acid and tannins. Barolo wines must be solely composed of Nebbiolo, and without exceptions.

According to DOCG regulations Barolo must be aged for at least two years in oak and one year in the bottle. Tasting Notes: violets, black cherry, cinnamon, and white pepper.

Barolo is known as the “King” of Italian wines and pair well with fatty red meats and roasted root veggies. Find a Barolo with some age and prepare to be dazzled.
